This is sharp. Not exactly family friendly but pretty.

Replacing the GS there or just doing the lease turn in?

Just a drop off. Lexus doesn’t have a car for me right now. GS is been there, done that; don’t like the ES, and the LS is too much monies.
Intercom was playing “Na, na, hey hey, goodbye” by Steam as I walked out of the showroom, haha.

Don’t blame you on the GS.
Yeah, the whole point of leasing is you get to move on. But what’s next?

next Time I get promoted I’m gonna get me one. The next level up from store manager in my company is GM.

Next logical choice is a Caddy

I have owned something like 13 cars in my life, and have tried 12 brands.
The only repeat brand was Oldsmobile- a long dead brand, and both cars were older than my old ass.
It’s not that I have had bad experiences- I just like variety.
Tomorrow morning I have a 610 AM one way flight to pick up my next car —- if it all checks out in person. Think 3 pointed star —. But I am afraid of jinxing it!!

In theory yes - I love the driving dynamics of the CTS. But other requirements knocked that off the list.

Near me, Lexus corporate is having a test drive event June 9 and 10. They’re promising test drives of the LC, LS and other cars. I’m looking forward to it.
That’s a pretty car in most any color.

Three-point...you’re getting a Mitsubishi! That is so cool, and so Jalop. I’m proud of you. I’ve thought lately those cars don’t get enough love anymore. Can’t wait to see the reveal with details.

Hey that was the only possible response to the Mitsu comment!
I haven’t bought a used car in 28 years, let alone from afar. Plus I’m a born cynic...

Is it weird that you’re road tripping it home without me?

Hey if you can be in Detroit by lunchtime tomorrow...

I wish.
I am excited to see what you got. I’m sure with a warranty and everything, it’s going to be alright.

Step 1 - call in sick
Step 2 - use miles
Step 3 - profit!
The car isn’t that exciting, despite having a 400 HP twin turbo V8

I can add it to my list of cars I need to test drive.

It’s not a drivers car but roomy as hell and will do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds while giving me a back massage. For reals.
443 lb ft at 1600 rpm. Those are turbo diesel numbers but with spark plugs. 600 lb ft is just a time away, too.
When you’re in Chicago you can just drive mine.
More info to be revealed tomorrow. I’m just sitting here in a wine bar while having lunch on a Thursday afternoon right now...

I will say that the back massagers on
those
is pretty nice. This is exciting news.

I’m tempted, we have to go to Buffalo Grove for a bit in the morning though - birthday brunch with the mother in law. I’ll look it up to see how long it’s going for.

Saturday and Sunday all day. I think the site is lexusdrivingtour.com and it was just announced so there should be lots of openings still?

Cool, thanks (and thanks for the offer on your available slot). I know Saturday is a no go but maybe I can talk the wife into a late afternoon jaunt down to Soldier Field (or at least getting out of BG early enough for me to go).

My S600 put out 590 lb ft at 1800 rpm...if insurance decides to total it I’m gonna be pissed because I need that grunt in my life lol.

This thing is really nice with 440 ft lb. I can’t imagine 590.
And it’s as much about the RPM level as it is the torque itself.
This car has stupid tall gearing which works quite nicely with the torque. 2000 RPM is about 85 mph. My E46 is north of 4000 at that speed.
